Manuel is a highly accomplished biopharmaceutical executive with more than 20 years of experience spanning commercial strategy, market planning, forecasting, analytics, business intelligence, data science and enterprise transformation.

Most recently, he served as Vice President and Head of Strategic Analytics & Intelligence at Genentech. During his 20-year tenure, he held a series of leadership roles with increasing responsibility, including Vice President, Market Analysis & Strategy; Executive Director, Transformation Office and Senior Director, Head of Market Planning.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Chemical Engineering from Rice University, as well as a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a doctoral degree in Molecular Pharmacology from Stanford University. He earned his MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.

Outside of work Manuel enjoys bicycling, improv comedy, cooking (and eating), and spending time with his family.
