Access To Our Medicines

Access To Our Medicines

Putting Patients at the
Heart of Everything We Do

At Cytokinetics, our work begins and ends with patients. We believe every person deserves access to treatments that can truly make a difference — and we’re doing everything we can to help make that happen.

Our scientists and teams are focused on developing medicines that may help people living with heart and muscle diseases lead their best lives. But our commitment doesn’t stop with discovery. We care deeply about making sure people can actually access the therapies that have the potential to improve their health and wellbeing.

That’s why we think about access from the very start — not just when a medicine is approved. We know the healthcare system can be complicated, and we’re determined to help patients and families navigate it with compassion and support, while ensuring treatment decisions remain where they belong, in the hands of physicians and their patients. Our culture is built on compassion and integrity — and that means striving for equal and equitable access so that no one is left behind when it comes to care.

We’re also working hard to remove barriers so that access isn’t limited by where someone lives, who they are, or what resources they have. Everyone deserves the same opportunity to benefit from scientific progress.

Here are some of the ways we’re putting that belief into action:

Access to Investigational Medicines

We give eligible patients opportunities to participate in clinical trials and make sure they have clear, easy-to-understand information about what to expect. We also offer support to help ease financial concerns during trial participation.

Patient Support Programs

We know that navigating insurance and costs can be stressful. Our dedicated team helps patients
understand their coverage, explore financial assistance, and, when needed, access free medicine if they qualify. We’re here to make sure no one faces these challenges alone.

Patient Advocacy and Partnerships

Listening to patients, caregivers, and advocacy organizations helps us see the full picture — the day-to-day realities of living with serious disease. Together, we’re working to raise awareness, share resources, and create programs that meet real needs in the community.

We know we can’t solve every challenge overnight. But we promise to keep striving — to keep listening, learning, and improving — so that the medicines we develop reach the people who need them most.

Because at the heart of our science are people. And every step we take is for them.
