Imola Fodor, Ph.D.

Imola joined us as the Vice President of Biometrics in May 2025.

Imola’s biopharmaceutical experience spans from research through manufacturing, and early- through late-stage clinical development. Before joining Cytokinetics, Imola was at Genentech and parent company Roche for a combined 18 years where she most recently served as the Vice President for the Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism group in Product Development Data Sciences.

Imola joined Genentech in 2007 as a senior statistical scientist in the Nonclinical Statistics group. After two years at Genentech, Imola joined parent company Roche, where she held several positions including Global Head of the Nonclinical Statistics and Statistical Methods and Research Groups, Biostatistics Deputy Head of the Breast / GYN Cancer Franchise, Biostatistics Global Head of Hematology and Early Development Oncology, and acted as the South San Francisco Biometrics Site Head.

Prior to joining Genentech, Imola was a computational scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where she collaborated with astronomers, climate scientists, biologists, and computer scientists to obtain insights from large and complex datasets using statistical methods, machine learning, and high-performance computing.

Imola earned a B.A. in mathematics, statistics, and physics from Rutgers University and a Ph.D. in statistics from the University of California at Berkeley.

A native Hungarian, Imola immigrated to the US with her family when she was 19. She currently lives in the San Francisco East Bay with her German husband and their two sons. Imola is inspired by the beauty of nature, and loves all things outdoors, including hiking, camping, swimming, and skiing.
