Matt Yang

VP, Corporate Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis

Matt Yang was appointed Vice President of Corporate Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in November 2023. Since joining Cytokinetics in 2018, he has helped lead financial planning, strategic planning and corporate development.

Matt joined Cytokinetics from Intarcia Therapeutics where he was Senior Director of Finance, responsible for planning and commercial activities. Prior to Intarcia, Matt worked at Genentech/Roche for more than a decade, with broad finance experience ranging from corporate planning, commercial finance, R&D finance, as well as a stint as the CFO of Roche’s commercial affiliate in New Zealand.

Matt received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from National Taiwan University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Corporate Strategy from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

In his free time, Matt travels extensively and likes hiking, running, and skiing. A classically trained pianist, he also enjoys making music with friends and occasionally gives informal recitals with fellow amateur musicians.
