Michael Jiresch

Vice President and General Manager, DACH

Michael Jiresch joined Cytokinetics as Vice President and General Manager for the DACH region, which includes Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in May 2024.

Prior to joining Cytokinetics, Michael was at Albireo Pharma where he established the DACH commercial and medical organization. He held similar positions as VP and GM for the DACH region at Akcea Therapeutics and Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Before Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Michael held various commercial and general management roles with increasing responsibility at NPS Pharma, Norgine, Sorbion, Pfizer, Wyeth, AstraZeneca, Sanofi Aventis, and Boehringer Ingelheim.

Michael received his Ph.D. from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna.

Michael is an Austrian citizen based in Munich with his spouse where he enjoys fitness training, running, mountain biking, and kite surfing during his leisure time.
