Neila Benabadji, Pharm.D.

VP, Head of Regulatory Affairs Europe

Neila Benabadji joined Cytokinetics in the role of Vice President, Head of Regulatory Affairs Europe in April 2024.  

 Neila has diverse experience in the European regulatory environment where she worked in global, regional, and local regulatory roles in drug development and post-marketing stages across multiple therapeutic areas. 

Prior to joining Cytokinetics, Neila served as Head of Regulatory Affairs for EMEAC (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Canada) and Head of Global Regulatory Strategy at Reata Pharmaceuticals where she built and led regulatory teams achieving approval and commercialization.

Prior to Reata Pharmaceuticals, Neila held roles of increasing responsibility within the global regulatory function at Novartis between 2013 and 2021 leading global regulatory strategies for multiple development and marketed programs. Prior to Novartis, Neila worked at both Ipsen Pharma and Bayer Healthcare in European and local regulatory roles. 

Neila graduated with a PharmD from the University of Pharmacy Reims in France and holds a master’s degree in Drug Development and International Regulatory Affairs from Paris-Sud University. 

Neila likes combining her passion for travel with quality time spent with her family and friends. She likes exploring new destinations, different cultures, and cuisines. Neila is trilingual in French, English, and Arabic.
