The Cytokinetics Corporate Giving Program consists of individual charitable donations to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations to support diversity in science education, equitable healthcare initiatives for cardiovascular disease and certain essential services for local and at-risk communities where we live and work.

Specifically, our corporate giving priorities are focused on:
Diversity in Science Education
Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education for traditionally underrepresented middle school, high school or post-secondary students to promote college pathways and post-secondary success and inspire the next generation of science leaders. Initiatives may include STEM-related learning and experiential programs; diversity, equity, inclusion and respect (DEIR) initiatives; college prep and readiness programs; STEM scholarships
Location focus: San Francisco Bay Area or Greater Philadelphia Region
Health Equity in Cardiovascular Disease
Equitable healthcare initiatives for cardiovascular disease (CVD) in underserved communities with the aim to help reduce disparities. Initiatives may include public health and/or awareness programs; non-healthcare community support programs; community-led solutions; access to basic services; new innovative approaches
Location focus: U.S.-based national initiative or community-based program
Local Community Support
Access to essential services that address food or housing insecurity for local, at-risk communities to build stability and resilience and foster a strong connection between Cytokinetics and the communities we call home. Initiatives may include food assistance programs; housing assistance programs; affordable housing initiatives
Location focus: San Francisco Bay Area or Greater Philadelphia Region
Corporate Giving Funding and Eligibility
Cytokinetics provides charitable donations to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations in the U.S. that are neither engaged, nor directly involved in the practice of healthcare, and whose missions and programs are aligned with our corporate giving priorities. Eligible organizations must meet the funding and eligibility criteria set out by Cytokinetics. No benefit may be given to Cytokinetics in return for support unless such benefit is incidental in nature, such as fair recognition of company name on a list of donors.
The Cytokinetics Corporate Giving Program applications will be accepted between July 30 and September 16, 2024. Requestors are required to submit a complete application online during this open call for proposals. More details can be found in the Funding & Application Guidelines or on the application portal.
